Nokia marks its return to the MWC event with some great Android smartphones and also the new version of the old 3310 mobile phone from Nokia. The recently launched Nokia 6 that was exclusive to China till now is also the part of the event with a new color combination and is now made globally official. Beside this the two new Android – based smartphones are also the part of the family where Nokia 3 falls in the low – budget and Nokia 5 falls in the mid – budget price range.
Both Nokia 3 and Nokia 5 are pretty similar in the specifications but with a few changes in them. And that made the difference in the price of the devices. Both devices are featuring the fingerprint scanner and some great much – needed features.
How to forget the old school Nokia 3310 that was the part of the life back then. And to make the present generation felt about this old phone Nokia under the HMD Global banner has launched the much awaited Nokia 3310 (2017) phone. This phone is not a new smartphone but a feature phone only with some new looks and colors.
The phone is an icon, and it got some work done with the new colorful looks. It sports the 2.4 – inch of the TFT screen and it measures only 115.6 x 51 x 12.8 mm in dimensions. It runs on the Nokia Series 30+ OS and looks great in the vibrant Glossy Warm Red, Matte Dark Blue, Glossy Yellow, and Matte Grey colors.
With a removable 1200 mAh battery, this new feature phone from Nokia is also all set to be alive up to 31 days on stand – by, 22 hours of talk time, and 39 hours on FM radio. It is embedded with the 16 MB of the RAM, and the best part is the microSD card slot to expand the internal memory further ahead up to 32 GB. Also, there is a 2 MP of the primary camera with the single LED Flashlight.
The old snake game is back with this phone in an entirely colorful way. The opera browser is back with this phone, and the device works only on the 2G GSM network as the connectivity carrier. So this is a good back – up phone for you. This new Nokia 3310 (2017) phone is priced at Rs. 3,499 in the India market which is around $50 in the US market.
Nokia 6 (special edition)
Nokia 6 was launched last month in China and was exclusive to China only. But in the MWC 2017 event company launched the special edition Nokia 6 with the Arte Black. This device is featuring the 5.5 – inch of the IPS LCD capacitive touchscreen display with the 1920 x 1080 pixels of the HD display resolutions. The Corning Gorilla Glass 3 protection is there over the screen.
The front – mounted fingerprint scanner gives the extra – bit of security to the smartphone that runs on latest Android v7.1.1 – Nougat operating system out of the box. The specs of the device are powered by the Qualcomm MSM8937 Snapdragon 430 SoC Octa – Core 1.4 GHz process.
It is employed with the 16 MP of the primary camera with PDAF, and in the front, there is an 8 MP of the secondary camera. The simple variants are available with the 3 GB RAM and 32 GB of the internal memory. While the Arte Black color option has the 4 GB of RAM with the 64 GB of the internal in – built memory.
It is packed with the Non-removable Li-Ion 3000 mAh battery that gives the 768 hours of stand – by, 18 hours of talk time, and 22 hours of the music playback – up to this new device.
For the Nokia 6 Arte Black, you have to pay $315 in the US market and Rs. 21,000 in Indian smartphone market. While the normal variant is priced at $255 which is Rs. 16,999 in India.
Nokia 3 is another Android smartphone that got launched in the event. It is a small – budget device from Nokia with the 5.0 – inch of the IPS LCD capacitive touchscreen display with 720p of the HD display resolutions and the presence of the Corning Glass 3 protection over the screen. This phone is employed with the 8 MP of the rear and front camera. There is a 2 GB of the RAM with the presence of the 16 GB of the internal storage capacity that can be expanded further.
There is also a front – mounted Fingerprint scanner embedded to this new smartphone which runs on Android v7.0 – Nougat operating system out of the box. The specifications of Nokia 3 are powered by the Mediatek MT6737 SoC Quad – Core 1.4 GHz Cortex – A53 processor. It is packed with the Non-removable Li-Ion 2650 mAh battery and is priced at Rs. 9,999 which is $150 in the US market.
The last but not the least is the Nokia 5 Android smartphone that got unveiled at the MWC 2017 event by HMD Global. This smartphone is similar to Nokia 3 but with some advanced specifications. It sports the 5.2 – inch of the IPS LCD capacitive touchscreen display with the 720p of HD display resolutions.
It is embedded with the 2 GB of the RAM with the presence of the 16 GB of the internal expandable memory. There is a 13 MP of the primary camera, and for the awesome selfies, there is an 8 MP of the front camera. There is the presence of front – mounted Fingerprint scanner in this new smartphone that is powered by the Qualcomm MSM8937 Snapdragon 430 SoC Octa – Core 1.4 GHz processor.
It is packed with the Non-removable Li-Ion 3000 mAh battery and runs on latest Android v7.1.1 – Nougat operating system out of the box. This phone is a mid – range device with the price tag of Rs. 13,499 in India and $200 in the US market.
